**Fight Info Subject to Change**
MMA fighting events are a great way to spend your Saturday night!
RUF, PUFF, AND RUMBLE will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021. The gates to the Historic Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona welcome you to a world of booths, artists, food trucks, entertainment, shopping, exhibition, education, and fights all in one location.
This is RUF Nation’s 44th show! The fight card is stacked and it will be the world’s first MMA FAN fare day dedicated to health, wellness, fitness, lifestyle, and CANNABIS.
Alcoholic cocktails, beer and more will be served in the Celebrity Theatre Clubhouse beginning at 1 p.m. for those 21 and over only. Admission to the theatre begins at 4 p.m., the pre-show live stream starts at 5 p.m., and the fights begin at 6 p.m.
RUF, PUFF, and RUMBLE also features ONE Championship’s Road to ONE Heavyweight Tournament. The contest has featured 16 heavyweight mixed martial artists, where the champion will go on to receive a US $100K+ contract to compete with ONE Championship. We are into the quarterfinals, with two bouts scheduled for the card.
So who’s on the fight card?
Shannon Ritch, fighting out of Glendale, AZ and Cannon BJJ, is an 8-time MMA world champion. He holds a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has won many tournaments, none as big as the 2017 WORLDS GI – NOGI event.
Guerrero has a record of 2-3, and his first appearance in the RUF cage will be against Ritch. This will be a rematch between the two, having squared off at WFF 34 back in 2017. Samson won that bout by verbal submission.
Austin Pike is also new to the RUF cage and comes in with a record of 1-2, fresh off a unanimous decision victory at Premier Fighting Championships earlier this year. No doubt he’s hoping to start a streak.
Austin Wourms is looking to land in the win column. He is no stranger to the RUF cage and has a record of 2 wins and 3 losses. One thing you can count on with Wourms in the cage is that he always makes for an exciting fight.
Amateur bout’s to watch…
Adam Franck returns to the RUF cage after his TKO victory over Ridge Harmon at RUF 41. He’ll be taking on RUF newcomer Tim Carrillo. We last saw him fight at Iron Boy MMA 13, where he secured a win via rear naked choke over Delen Trevathan. Tim’s brother Alexander Carrillo is also set to fight on the card.
Tristan Mordecai returns to the RUF cage after a KO win at RUF 42 against Jeremy Smith. He will face Austin Vandentoorn, who also just picked up a TKO win at RUF 41. You do not want to miss this middleweight fight!
Antron Petty is making is 2nd appearance in the RUF cage. If you remember his 1st appearance, he won by TKO and wowed us with his acrobatic skills during his post fight celebration! He’s taking on Zach Stewart. We last saw him at RUF 39 where he won by submission via rear naked choke over Luigi Bisconti.
Chris Sandoval already has two submissions under his belt and will face Adrian Galindo. Galindo is also familiar with the art of the submission. Both fighters are no newcomers to the RUF cage and know how to win with a rear naked choke. This should be a good fight.
