The United Fight League returned to Chandler, AZ on Saturday night for UFL 4, a stacked card featuring two title fights and a host of exciting matchups. Fans at the Wild Horse Pass Resort and Casino were treated to a memorable night of MMA action, with stunning finishes, back-and-forth battles, and the crowning of two new champions.

In the main event, Hunter Azure claimed the UFL Bantamweight Title with a devastating knockout victory over Amun Cosme. The fight was closely contested in the early going, with both men trading strikes and leg kicks. However, Azure landed a crushing right hand in the second round that sent Cosme crashing to the canvas. The referee waved off the fight at 2:42 of round two, giving Azure the championship victory.

The co-main event saw Nikolay Veretennikov capture the UFL Welterweight Title with a controversial TKO win over Ashley Reece. Veretennikov came out aggressively, using his striking to put Reece on the back foot. In the first round, Veretennikov landed a flurry of punches that appeared to hurt Reece. However, some observers questioned whether Reece was truly in danger when the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 2:47 of the opening frame. We’d like for these two to run it back!

Earlier in the night, the heavyweight clash between Marcus Nash and Sherzod Khamrakulov showcased Nash’s versatile skill set and ended with a spectacular finish. In the early stages of the fight, Nash effectively delivered strikes, keeping Khamrakulov at bay. The fight then transitioned to the canvas, where Nash secured a dominant crucifix position. From there, he unleashed a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to halt the contest at 0:37 of the opening round. This impressive performance solidified Nash’s status as a rising contender in the heavyweight division.

The lightweight bout between Jose Delgado and Alberto Romo was another highlight of the night. Delgado weathered an early storm from Romo and turned the tide in the third round. A perfectly placed left hook followed by a right from Delgado dropped Romo, and a few follow-up shots and elbows on the ground forced the referee to halt the contest at 0:16 of the final round.

In other fight card action, Richard Mahan and Yevgeni Shinkarevsky both earned clear-cut unanimous decision victories. All three judges scored the fight for Mahan, with two scorecards reading 30-27 and one 29-28. Shinkarevsky, meanwhile, put on a striking clinic against Braden Goodwin to secure a 30-27 sweep on all three judges’ scorecards.

The lone women’s fight of the night saw Susset Gomez edge out Grace DiFrancesco by split decision in a closely contested three-round battle. Both women had their moments in the fight, but it was Gomez who earned the nod on two of the three judges’ scorecards. All three judges scored the fight 29-28, with two siding with Gomez and one with DiFrancesco.

Kyle Estrada picked up an impressive unanimous decision win over Shojin Miki in a bantamweight bout. Estrada’s striking was on point throughout the three-round affair, allowing him to cruise to 30-27 scorecards across the board.
