RUF 52 Recap: A Recap of the Best Fights and Results

RUF 52 delivered an electrifying night of fights on February 25th, 2023, with a card packed with action from start to finish. The event was headlined by several title fights, and each one provided fans with non-stop action.
 
The amateur 155-pound bout between Jerardo Rodriguez and Daniel Flores was an explosive start to the event. Daniel Flores started the round landing some big shots, however, Rodriguez wasted no time in ending the fight, landing a powerful punch that sent Flores to the canvas for the KO at 2:23 in the first round.
 
In the amateur 170-pound division, Joseph Perez faced off against Jacob Farni. Perez showed how good he was at grappling by forcing Farni to tap with a triangle choke at 2:24 of the first round. This was a dominant performance from Perez, who showed his submission skills to earn a quick victory.
 
The amateur 155-pound bout between Besnik Gashi and Devin Ray was a closely contested affair, with both fighters trading kicks and grappling skills throughout the three rounds. In the end, Gashi emerged victorious with a split decision, with two judges scoring the fight 29-28 in his favor. This was a hard-fought victory for Gashi, who showed his resilience and determination to come out on top.
 
The amateur 155-pound title fight between Alex Martinez and Mike Kennedy was another impressive display of grappling. Martinez took control early, securing a rear-naked choke at 2:56 in the first round to earn the submission victory and claim the title.
 
In the amateur 125-pound title fight, Trenten Beyers defended his title against Brian Benevidez. Beyers didn’t waste any time putting an end to the fight. At 1:46 of the first round, he used a rear-naked choke to win by submission and keep his title. This was a dominant performance from Beyers, who showed his championship caliber with a quick and decisive victory.
 
The pro-125-pound bout between Daniel Garcia and Aaron Loya was a showcase of Garcia’s grappling skills. Garcia secured an arm triangle choke at 1:20 in the first round to earn the submission victory.
 
The pro-185-pound bout between Trent Miller and Brooks Callaghan was a one-sided affair. Miller dominated the fight with his striking, finishing Callaghan with a TKO via strikes at 4:09 in the first round.
 
The pro-155-pound bout between Loai Abushaar and James Trinidad was a quick and decisive affair. Abushaar secured a guillotine choke at 1:55 in the first round to earn the submission victory.
 
In conclusion, RUF 52 was an exciting night of fights, with each bout delivering non-stop action. Congratulations to all the winners, who put on impressive performances to claim victory.
