Empire Championship Series: Warriors of the Empire | Weigh-In Results and Full Fight Card Las Cruces, NM | Friday, June 12, 2026 The scale doesn't lie, and on Friday night at Picacho Peak Brewery the entire Empire Championship Series: Warriors of the Empire lineup made it official. Empire Promotions brings 17 bouts to the Pan American Center in Las Cruces tomorrow, Saturday, June 13, headlined by Christopher Tavares' pro debut and backed by two amateur title fights and a five-bout professional card. View ALL Photos from Weigh-ins Weigh-Ins at Picacho Peak Brewery Fighters and coaches packed into Picacho Peak Brewery in Las Cruces on Friday to hit the scale one day out from fight night. Main Event: Christopher Tavares Turns Pro The night closes with a catchweight bout at 129 pounds as Christopher Tavares (6-1 amateur) makes his professional debut against Alberto Solis, who steps in for his own pro debut in the headline slot. Tavares built a strong amateur run in the region and now jumps straight into the pro ranks. Tavares weighed in at 134.8, Solis at 128.0. Two Amateur Titles on the Line Both belts run five rounds, the longest the amateurs will go all night. Amateur Lightweight Title: Jon Merino (5-0) puts his unbeaten record on the line against Cole Knapp (6-3). Merino has yet to lose, while Knapp brings the deeper resume at 6-3. Merino hit 154.8, Knapp 155.2. Amateur Middleweight Title: Klinton Whitmire (2-0) meets Jacob Snoeyink (3-1) with gold on the line. Whitmire is perfect through two, Snoeyink has fought more often. Whitmire came in at 184.2, Snoeyink at 183.2. The Pro Card Five professional bouts fill out the upper half of the card: Bantamweight: Joseph Veloz (1-7) looks to snap a tough run against Aaron Gomez (4-3). Weights: 135.4 and 136.0. Bantamweight: Gabriel Piria (0-1) vs Eddie Ortiz (3-1). Weights: 134.0 and 132.0. Flyweight: Javier Duchene (2-3) vs David Miramontes (4-9). Weights: 125.2 and 124.2.
