Epic 66 Results: Four Champions Crowned in San Diego

Epic Fighting packed 17 MMA bouts, four amateur title fights and a special submission-only grappling exhibition into a long night of fights at the Four Points by Sheraton San Diego. Epic 66 delivered plenty of early finishes before the championship fights took over the back end of the card. Lexi Hills, Jadan Fugate, Kellvon Clayton and Nate Ray left San Diego with titles, while Zion "Big Z" Clark and Zion Fairley stepped into the cage for a grappling exhibition before the final two championship bouts. The finishes started early. Santino Nonaca needed just 38 seconds to stop Omar Abdulkader with strikes in the opening round. Braeden Rhinehart followed with a first-round TKO of Jaquincy Driver, and Kain Hayden picked up his second straight win covered by MMA Stalker with a ground-and-pound finish of Gustavo Zuniga at 1:32 of Round 1. Hayden last appeared in the MMA Stalker database at Epic 65 in May, where he earned a split-decision win over Elijah Kim. Anaken Beytia added one of the night's early submissions, catching Isaac Mwereru with an armbar at 1:09 of the first round. Then came the fastest finish of Epic 66. Benito Alvarez stopped Ryan Pearson with strikes just eight seconds into their lightweight bout. Later on the card, Tanner Cochran kept his unbeaten amateur record intact with a first-round TKO of Jarred Turner. Cochran moved to 3-0, following up on the TKO victory over Dylan Sawai that MMA Stalker documented at Epic 62 in August 2025. Not every fight ended early. Nateo Aguilar opened the card with a unanimous-decision victory over Isaias Barrios, while Christopher Jorden returned to MMA Stalker coverage with a unanimous decision over Tanner Jones. Tyler Lewis earned his second straight decision win covered by MMA Stalker, defeating Isaac Romero after previously beating Roman Paniagua at Epic 65. Haoyuan Gao also went the distance for a unanimous-decision win over Alejandro "Alex" Martinez. Gio Mendez moved to 4-0 with a unanimous decision over Rayo Sanchez, building on his Epic 65 victory over Gabriel Cordero. Kenya Nieves returned to the win column with a first-round doctor stoppage against Taylar Minton, while Alexander Schwaebe stopped David Da Silva with strikes in the second round. Four Titles on the Line The championship portion of Epic 66 began with Lexi Hills and Nancy Quidachay competing for the amateur strawweight title. Hills entered the fight at 3-0 in the supplied pre-fight record and coming off another submission victory documented by MMA Stalker at Empire Championship Series: Reign of Champions in March. She made it another finish in San Diego, submitting Quidachay with an armbar at 1:35 of the second round to claim the strawweight title. The featherweight championship went the distance. Jadan Fugate and Gavin Mitchell battled through three rounds before Fugate took the title by split decision. The win moved Fugate to 3-1 in the supplied post-fight record and marked his first MMA Stalker-covered appearance since Epic 61 in May 2025. Zion Clark Steps Into the Epic Cage Epic 66 shifted away from MMA briefly before the final two championship fights when Zion "Big Z" Clark met Zion Fairley in a submission-only grappling exhibition. Neither Clark nor Fairley secured a submission before the exhibition ended, resulting in a draw. The exhibition added a different combat sports element to an already packed Epic 66 card before the lightweight and middleweight championships closed the night. Clayton and Ray Close the Night With Titles Kellvon Clayton and Omar Ojeda were both familiar faces from Epic 64, where each picked up victories earlier this year. This time they met each other with the amateur lightweight championship at stake. Their title fight went all three rounds, with Clayton earning the championship by split decision. The victory moved Clayton to 5-2 in the supplied post-fight record and gave him consecutive Epic wins covered by MMA Stalker. The middleweight championship closed Epic 66 with Nate Ray facing Samuel Dalton. Both entered the main event coming off submission victories. Ray submitted Jonah Hendrickson at Epic 64 in February, while Dalton submitted Nate Brown at RUF 69 in July. This time it was Ray who found the finish. Ray caught Dalton in a triangle choke at 1:53 of the second round, securing the submission and the Epic amateur middleweight championship to close out the night.
