Epic 66 Weigh-Ins: Seventeen Fights, One Stacked Night at the Four Points

Epic 66 Weigh-Ins Set the Stage for Four Amateur Title Fights in San Diego Epic 66 is official after Friday morning’s weigh-ins at the Four Points By Sheraton San Diego. Seventeen fights are scheduled for tonight, with four amateur title fights closing out a card that mixes first-time competitors with several fighters we’ve watched develop across recent Epic events. Opening the Card: New Faces at Bantamweight The night opens at bantamweight with Nateo Aguilar taking on Isaias Barrios. Aguilar enters at 1-0 while Barrios makes his amateur debut, and both are appearing in MMA Stalker coverage for the first time. Aguilar and Barrios each officially weighed 133.6 pounds. Bout 2 brings another pair of first-time MMA Stalker appearances. Santino Nonaca and Omar Abdulkader both make their amateur debuts at bantamweight after each weighing 135.2 pounds. Christopher Jorden and Tanner Jones move the card to middleweight in Bout 3. Jorden, 2-3 as an amateur, returns to our coverage for the first time since Epic 55 in November 2023, when he lost by submission to Mustafa Bell. Jones is 0-1 and was last on an MMA Stalker-covered card at Epic 65 in May. Both officially weighed 181.8 pounds. Bout 4 goes back to bantamweight, where Alexander Schwaebe faces David Da Silva. Both are making their amateur debuts and their first appearances in MMA Stalker coverage. Schwaebe and Da Silva each came in at 135.2 pounds. Familiar Names Return to the Epic Card Jaquincy Driver returns in Bout 5 against debuting Braeden Rhinehart at middleweight. Driver is 1-0 after stopping Corey Matthews by TKO at Cage Series 10 in April. Rhinehart makes his amateur debut and first appearance in our coverage. Both weighed 174.4 pounds. Gustavo Zuniga and Kain Hayden meet at lightweight in Bout 6. Zuniga enters at 0-4 and has not appeared in MMA Stalker coverage since Epic 52 in February 2023, where he lost by TKO to David Morales. Hayden comes in 1-0 after earning a split-decision win over Elijah Kim at Epic 65 in May. Both officially weighed 155 pounds. At bantamweight, Isaac Mwereru returns after Epic 65, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Kade Lange. He faces 1-0 Anaken Beytia, who is making his first appearance in MMA Stalker coverage. Mwereru and Beytia each weighed 136 pounds. Tyler Lewis also comes back off Epic 65 in Bout 8. Lewis won a unanimous decision over Roman Paniagua in May and now puts his 1-0 record against debuting featherweight Isaac Romero. Romero is making his first appearance in our coverage. Lewis and Romero each weighed 145.2 pounds. More Debuts Fill Out the Middle of the Card Bout 9 gives us another pair of newcomers as Alejandro “Alex” Martinez meets Haoyuan Gao at middleweight. Both are making their amateur debuts and their first appearances in MMA Stalker coverage. Martinez and Gao each weighed 176 pounds. Ryan Pearson and Benito Alvarez follow at lightweight in Bout 10. Both make their amateur debuts and their first MMA Stalker appearances after each officially weighing 155.4 pounds. Rayo Sanchez gets an experienced opponent for his debut in Bout 11, drawing undefeated Gio Mendez. Mendez enters at 3-0 and was last seen in our coverage at Epic 65, where he earned a unanimous-decision victory over Gabriel Cordero. Sanchez is making his first appearance in MMA Stalker coverage. Both officially weighed 139.4 pounds. Kenya Nieves and Taylar Minton meet at featherweight in Bout 12. Nieves enters at 0-1 after a split-decision loss to Margaret Izotov at Epic 63 last November. Minton makes her amateur debut and first appearance in our coverage. Both weighed 145.2 pounds. Experience Picks Up Before the Title Fights Bout 13 is one of the more experienced non-title matchups on the card. Jarred Turner, 3-1, faces undefeated Tanner Cochran at lightweight. Turner was last in MMA Stalker coverage at Epic 58 in August 2024, where Daniel Reyes submitted him. Cochran enters at 2-0 and was last seen stopping Dylan Sawai by TKO at Epic 62 in August 2025. Turner and Cochran each officially weighed 155 pounds. From there, Epic 66 moves into four straight amateur title fights. Nancy Quidachay vs. Lexi Hills — Strawweight Title Nancy Quidachay and Lexi Hills open the championship stretch in Bout 14. Quidachay enters at 3-2 and is coming off a submission victory over Carli Lombardo at Epic 65 in May. Hills brings an undefeated 3-0 record after submitting Yazeneth Madero at Empire Championship Series: Reign of Champions in March. Both fighters officially weighed 115 pounds. This is one of the easiest fights on the card to circle. Both women have winning records, both are coming off submissions, and both have already given us something to work from in previous MMA Stalker coverage. Gavin Mitchell vs. Jadan Fugate — Featherweight Title Gavin Mitchell makes his first appearance in MMA Stalker coverage with a title on the line. Mitchell enters at 1-1 and faces Jadan Fugate, who brings a 2-1 amateur record into the featherweight championship fight. Fugate was last seen in our coverage at Epic 61 in May 2025, where he lost a unanimous decision to Audric DeCastro. Mitchell officially weighed 144.4 pounds, while Fugate came in at 145.8. Omar Ojeda vs. Kellvon Clayton — Lightweight Title Bout 16 gives us two fighters who left Epic 64 with finishes. Omar Ojeda enters at 4-1 after submitting Isaac Verdugo at Epic 64 in February. Kellvon Clayton is 4-2 and fought on that same card, knocking out Mustafa Bell. Ojeda and Clayton each officially weighed 155.2 pounds. With nine combined amateur fights and both men coming off finishes, this is one of the most established matchups on the entire card. Nate Ray vs. Samuel Dalton — Middleweight Title Main Event The night closes with Nate Ray and Samuel Dalton fighting for the amateur middleweight title. Both enter at 3-1. Both are also coming off submission victories. Ray was last in MMA Stalker coverage at Epic 64 in February, where he submitted Jonah Hendrickson. Dalton’s most recent appearance came just last month at RUF 69, where he submitted Nate Brown. Ray officially weighed 189 pounds. Dalton came in at 183.8. There is also no height difference to sort out on paper — both are listed at 6-foot-3. What we do have is a pair of middleweights with identical records, recent finishes and a championship sitting between them. What to Watch Tonight Epic 66 gives us plenty to learn early. A large portion of the card features fighters making their first appearance in MMA Stalker coverage, which means tonight becomes the first chapter in our own record of where some of these fighters go from here. The back half is different. Mendez is trying to move to 4-0. Cochran can push his unbeaten start to 3-0. Quidachay and Hills bring recent submission wins into a title fight. Ojeda and Clayton return after both scoring finishes on the same Epic card. And Ray-Dalton gives the main event two 3-1 middleweights who have each already shown they can end a fight on the ground.
